New job ad technology to revolutionise finding work
A new job ad system that allows jobseekers to receive and apply for jobs on their mobile via SMS has recently been launched in September 2009. The new technology has been launched by pioneering company ‘SMStheJOB.’ The company says their new technology moves the process of finding a job from now outdated technologies and on to a more convenient and mobile platform. Registration on the website www.smsthejob.com.au allows the jobseeker to set up job preferences and pre-load a resume. Once this has been completed all further communication is via SMS on the jobseeker’s mobile phone. Jobseekers will receive SMS notifications about listed jobs and with one SMS they can send their pre-loaded resume directly to the job advertiser. Using the mobile phone to search and apply for jobs allows jobseekers greater privacy from employer’s email monitoring programs; gives jobseekers a head start over colleagues using now traditional mediums like web job boards and email; and means jobseekers don’t have to be glued to a newspaper or computer to look for work – they can apply for jobs while socialising or otherwise occupied. There are benefits for advertisers using SMStheJOB technology also. Advertisers will place their ads online at www.smsthejob.com.au in much the same way as they do now with traditional web based job boards. The difference will be the significantly reduced advertising rate and the ability to directly target jobseekers who have already set-up their preferences. This will result in more immediate applications for advertisers’ vacancies, as well as the knowledge their advertisements are being received in real-time by the target jobseeker audience – no more risk that advertisements will be lost amongst the thousands of others ads on job boards. As SMStheJOB ask, Why should hiring the right person or finding the right job be hard work? Go to www.smsthejob.com.au to start right now. |
